My name is Jessica Ashley Shepley and I was born in Owen Sound, ON, on April 4th 1983. I have been blessed with two exceptionally supportive and energetic parents who have been busying playing parent, coach, advisor, accountant, motivator, cab driver, chef and of course friend to my brothers and I for the past 24 years!

I grew up in the Toronto area and spent a good chunk of my life in Oakville, home of the Bell Canadian Open. I started playing golf at the age of nine and had the privilege of Marlene Streit and Sandra Post's guidance, counseling and knowledge as I grew to learn and love this sport.

I spent four years at Iroquois Ridge High School playing basketball and volleyball and making some lifelong friends! I owe a great deal of thanks to my high school basketball coaches Mr. Kleberg and Mrs. Guest who pushed me from the beginning and allowed me to be the kind of athlete that I knew how to be.

I traveled down to the University of Tennessee and suited up in my orange and white singing Rocky Top all the way to the end! I received my degree in Journalism and Public Relations with a minor in golf as a team sport. I had a wonderful support system in Knoxville and once again had the privilege of meeting some fantastic people that continue to influence my life on a daily basis.

After finishing my eligibility in 2005 I qualified for the Duramed Futures Tour and began my life as a professional athlete. I will begin my third season with fully exempt status on the tour and a long list of goals to be achieved. In January of 2007 I began working with my swing coach and mentor Sean Foley and whether or not he is aware of it, he has changed my life and will no doubt continue to do so over the coming years!

Now for all the other stuff…… my favorite color is purple, my lucky number is 11. I am extremely superstitious- there will never be a clock that reads 11:11 that I won't kiss. I love chocolate-A LOT and I love new foods. Right now I am hooked on sushi but we won't tell my trainer that- it's on my no list. I love reading and music, both very important to who and what I am. The beach is one of my favorite places to be and if you really want to win me over just take me for a spin on your boat. I'm always up for a good game whether its football or hockey but my favorite player to watch is my brother Zack who plays for the Brampton Battalion in the OHL.

I want to personally thank each and every one of the people in my life that has influenced and supported me in their own way. I am one lucky girl and I know that- thank you! Please go ahead and check out the rest of my site and feel free to let me know what you think. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated with my blog so check back in with me from time to time to see what's happening on the road.

Until next time be safe and enjoy it all!

- Jess xoxo
